Warmer days call for dressing down and making slow, mindful choices
Featuring five highly rated eco-conscious fashion brands by 'Good On You' from India, Türkiye, China, Cambodia, and Spain

As the sun starts shining longer in many parts of the world, it’s time to dress down and take advantage of the boosted energy levels the increased sunlight endows us with.
While we tick off our to-dos, explore places we’ve been wanting to visit, and go about our lives with more verve in our step, the search for breathable clothes we feel good in is a daily wardrobe choice we’re forced to make.
More than choosing lighter clothing and wearing fewer layers, we’re certain that you care a lot about — or at least, are interested in — supporting brands that are mindful of their sustainability initiatives.
You are reading a circularity newsletter, after all.
Three core circularity principles applicable to fashion brands are (1) eliminating waste and pollution, (2) circulating products and materials, and (3) regenerating nature.
As an individual with purchasing power, you can make a difference by rethinking how, what, and when you consume by supporting brands that practice these principles.
If you are inclined, you might like reading our newsletters on: What is circularity and why you should care, greenwashing, and how the best kind of waste is the one that is not created 🔍
While fashion is one of the biggest polluters, it’s impossible to completely abstain from wearing and shopping for clothes. (How interesting would it be if we lived in a society that normalized minimal clothing, and dare we say, nudity? But we digress.)
We’ve repeated it multiple times: instead of buying new clothes, consider what’s already in your wardrobe, borrowing from a friend, renting, or scoring second-hand items.
But if you must buy brand-new clothes, the most mindful option you can make is to buy from brands that prioritize the planet and its people.
Below, we’ve curated five highly-rated brands on Good On You that strive to make a difference in the world of fashion. We hope the list helps you gain inspiration for your wardrobe and opens your eyes to the possibilities of circular fashion.
